How to work with Textol R on circular knitting machines

a.) For manual cleaning or cleaning on open machines please apply our product undiluted.

b.) While the machine is running, please follow the instructions below:

1. Mix Textol R with Textol needle and sinker oil in a ratio of 1:1. The charging level of the
oil tank should not be > 50 % before adding Textol R.

2. Press the FLUSH button several times while the machine is running or adjust the quantity of the
    circulating oil to the maximum.

Only this grants that fluff and flue gets washed off the cams.

3. Reduce machine speed to 15 - 18 UPM.

4. During the cleaning process sediments, abrasive material and dirt are washed off the cam
as well as off the needle and sinker area.

Should the machine be equipped with yarn and fabric, it must be assumed that the fabric will be
contaminated during the cleaning process. The contaminated part has to be disposed thereafter.

Usually the cleaning process is finished after approximately 1 hour, as soon as clean fabric comes out of the machine. Depending on the degree of contamination respectively on the cleaning intervals; the length of the cleaning process may vary.

5. After the cleaning process the oil tank has to be fully emptied.

6. Fill the tank with fresh Textol needle and sinker oil.

7. Start the machine and press the FLUSH button once more in order to remove the rest of the cleaning
    agent from the pipes.

8. Reduce oil quantity to the usual level.

9. The machine can work with normal speed again.

Alternative way of working with Textol R on circular knitting machines

Also Textol R can be applied for cleaning the machine parts while the regular running operations:

  1. Textol R is sprayed with an pressure pump vaporizer into the needle channel at the cylinder
  2. Please repeat this operation for persistent incrustations

Should the machine be equipped with yarn and fabric, it must be assumed that the fabric will be contaminated during the cleaning process. The contaminated part has to be disposed thereafter.

Advantages of the cleaning principle in case of running machines:

  • minimum loss of production; no interruption of knitting operation
  • remarkable time savings compared to manual cleaning
  • constant cleaning quality during the whole cleaning process
